Jackson Self Build Case Study

Keen to work with a company that gave them confidence, they continued with their research visiting our show centre in St Neots and other Potton houses in the Cambridgeshire area.

Before contacting us Mark had already designed their dream home and had received planning permission, but it was the advice from our self build consultant that led them to taking the next steps.

Translating their drawings into formal architectural plans, we added a few extra design features including a vaulted ceiling and a large roof lantern in the open plan living area . Our technical team then went on to produce the building regulations, including engineering and structural calculations, which are all included in the Potton service.

To ensure their home was thermally efficient the Jacksons opted for the Kingspan ULTIMA system. They also invested in an MVHR system combined with an air source heat pump, to have the benefit of additional heat if needed and cooler air during the summer.

Once manufactured at our factory in Cambridgeshire, the structure was delivered to site with the main frame being erected within a couple of weeks. We also provided our insulation pack, and supplied and fitted our external windows and doors.

The result is a beautiful spacious Georgian style house, future proofed for later life with a downstairs suite and all the benefits of modern living.
